North Coast Brazil

Some photos from Sao Luis and Barrerinas. Sao Luiz, capital of Maranhao state. People enjoying their friday night. Luckly I was able to see one of the important festivals in the region called Boi Bumba festival. Boi Bumba Festival ( Bull festival) is quite common in several parts of Brazil. The most famous one is in Parintins, Amazonas state, held in the end of June. Dance and music in a Carnival style performance with elaborate costumes. If you are traveling through the north coast, you will find many 4WD transports like this. Barrerinas Lencois National Park, located three hours drive from Sao Luiz. Endless oceans of white dunes, among thousands of crystal water lakes. Sunset at the desert
