Sachan and Emi in Mexico(first 2 days)

My sister Emi and my cousin Sachan came to Mexico to visit us from Japan. (They brought us many yummy munchies! ) It had been a long time since we last met in Tokyo. Sis, me, Juliosan, Miwasan, and Sachan Japanese cookie "Yoku Moku" for souvenir. In front of Miwasan's house. Cathedral in Zocalo. Museum of "Templo Mayor". Wall painting in "Palacio Nacional" Tacuba café. Very famous restaurant in Mexico city.

This is a place where Ernesto took me when Aiko's parents were here and I loved it so much that it was concidered as one of the must-eat places in Mexico city. They serve awesome sea food tostadas.

Carnival in Mazatlan

マサトランの人口は約４０万人。シナロア州第二の都市で、メキシコ最大の商港都市。 海岸沿いにはリゾートホテルが並んでいて、欧米からの観光客で賑わっている。 住み心地がよいからか、リタイヤしたアメリカ人がたくさん移住してくるそうだ。

町の中心の教会。

教会の中。 アメリカ人のおじいちゃんおばあちゃんたちがいっぱいいた。 カーニバルの期間ともあって、出店や屋台が並んでいる。 町自体はこじんまりとしていて、道も綺麗。夜町をブラブラできるくらい治安もいい。 バー＆ディスコのセニョール・フロッグ。エルネストとヨイチに昔ここに連れてきてもらって、初めてお酒（ビールとテキーラ）を飲んで泥酔した。 カーニバルをお目当てにメキシコ中からお祭好きがやってくる。 花火の準備をしていた。気合が感じられる。

お腹が空いたらとにかくタコス。

おつまみの玉ネギが甘くてすごく美味しい。

夜になるとさっそくお祭のはじまり。なんとこれが約5日間続く。

30分間おしみなく花火が打ち上げられた。

海岸沿いの通りは、とにかく人・人･人で全然動けない。

持っていたリュックがペッチャンコになるくらい混んでいた。

建物も色々とライトアップされていて目を楽しませてくれる。

カラオケの屋台。メキシコ人は楽しいと思うことならなんでもお祭にしてしまう。

カーニバルのはじまり。乗り物と人が海岸沿いをゆっくりとすすんで観客を楽しませてくれる。

みんな競うようにユニークな衣装を着ている。

子供から大人まで全員が参加できる。

通り過ぎるグループには大勢が拍手。

色鮮やかなマサトランのカーニバル。カーニバルが終ってもみんな朝まで道で飲んだり歌ったり踊ったり。 お祭に来るとメキシコ人の底抜けに陽気な気質に触れることができる。
