I have traveled along the coast of Perú and now I am in Quito, Ecuador.
I got sick from the water (or maybe from the altitude) and was down for a few days but I'm perfectly back in shape now.
Quito lies only 24 km south of the equator, but due to its altitude (3000m) it has a mild climate all year round.
I really enjoy the weather here.

Old City of Quito.
A maze of colonial mansions, cathedrals, and cobblestone streets resembled Sucre in Bolivia.
Ecuador is super cheap. US$3 dollars for a single room. ( with a guitar)
One substantial meal with a big bowl of vegitable soup and a juice cost 80c-$1.25.
I found a comfort zone.
