In Argentina (and other countries in southamerica), empanadas are probably the cheapest and the most popular food you can find, like tacos in mexico, ramen or onigiri in Japan....
According to my friend, the name comes from the verb empanar which means to wrap or coat in pastry. This stuffed bread always attracts me because it looks like gigantic fried dumplins plus they are always cheap and good. (averagely 2 pesos=70cent each)
I don't know how many empanadas I ate so far....at least 80?

Do you remember Bueno Chiken that we ate in Okinawa? Have you eaten it like that? If you meet that chiken, eat and take a photo and update on this.
